An Inside Look on Victoria’s Architecture of the University of Oregon Digital Translation

The project is to transfer the contents from The Architecture of the University of Oregon on UO libraries (Drupal platform) website into an inventory spreadsheet. The Architecture of the University of Oregon website contains most of the current buildings and sculptures at the University of Oregon and owned by UO. In addition, the website has informative contents of the history of these buildings and sculptures along with the architects that created these wonderful works. Alongside, there are references for most of the buildings and sculptures that people can access in order to learn more about the architecture and history of UO. These images from the UO Libraries website exist on Oregon Digital. Oregon Digital is the collection of digital works to support teaching and research. These images have pre-existed information that would be transferred into Spotlight. With all these metadata and images, they, then, are being translated into the Spotlight digital exhibit. Since Spotlight required a specific format, the contents from UO Libraries website need to be interpreted the way that Spotlight wants. Spotlight is a digital exhibit where scholarly artworks and information are compiled into one place. This digital exhibit enables audiences to access the information easier in one place and easy navigation.
