How This Term’s Work Experience Has Prepared Victoria For Employment After Graduation

This term’s work experience has prepared me for employment after graduation by enabling me to develop new skills such as be more organized, be more committed, be more independent, and work remotely at home. Since I have to organize the project in different ways, I have to sort in the ways that I can put contents into another platform. If I was not organized in this project, I would not be able to keep track of the contents from the original website. Organization is an important skill to help me to not waste time trying to look for these contents. In addition, this skill enables me to be able to section out and plan out the layout of this project since I have translated the contents. With all these contents being organized in certain ways, I was able to save time and plan out the project easier. Besides, this project allowed me to be more committed to my project. Because this project requires a lot of time commitment along with self-commitment collecting the contents, I acquired the skill to be more committed to my projects to finish and accomplish everything that I need to complete the project. I also have to work independently and be responsible for the work that I have to solve problems on my own. For example, since Spotlight is a new platform that I work on, I learned research skills where I have to learn on my own how the platforms work and solve them through research on the help forums. Also, with the new platform, I learned to take control of myself and help me to adapt to new things. I believe that work independently is an important skill to have because not everyone is going to be there to babysit my work; therefore, I need to be flexible and problem-solving on my project. In addition, since this project is something that I worked on my own, I have to take control of what I am doing. I don’t have teammates that I can collaborate with or rely on. Everything that I did needed to be handled by myself. I learned to organize everything on my own and execute it. Also, with all the events going on, working at home remotely while many things happen helps me learn to be able to take care of myself while still working. I comprehended to not be distracted since I am working at the comfort of my home and I learned to have self-control along with being flexible with myself. I gasped to minimize the distraction as much as I could due to the place I worked is not the place that was designed to work. Home is usually where I rest and do fun activities. By working at home, I found that I can work somewhere else besides the place that design to work only. This requires a lot of self-control which I learned to adapt through this term. With all these skills that I acquired in the term, I can take to the place that I will work after I graduate since all of them are essential skills that one needs to have. These skills are not easy to acquire since I have to experience them for me to learn through this term, and they will be very useful for my future.
